Woman injured in Klaipėda apartment fire

A woman was burned and taken to a medical facility after a fire broke out in an apartment in Klaipėda on Sunday, LRT reported, citing the General Assistance Centre.

The centre received a report at 4 p.m. that an apartment on Reikjaviko Street was burning with open flames.

Firefighters, ambulance services and police were sent to the scene. All residents of the apartment building were evacuated.

The fire, which started in an apartment on the building’s fourth floor, was extinguished.
