Klassikaraadio’s Luukamber marks 10 years

ERR reports that Klassikaraadio’s choral music programme Luukamber is marking its 10th anniversary on October 24. Hosted by Marge-Ly Rookäär, the programme’s anniversary episode, “My First Song Festival,” features song festival conductors recalling their first experiences of the event.

Aarne Saluveer, Riivo Jõgi, Ene Üleoja, Peeter Saan, Hirvo Surva, Rasmus Puur, Janne Fridolin-Väljamäe, Vaike Uibopuu, Silvia Mellik, Heli Jürgenson, Külli Kiivet and Mikk Üleoja share their memories. Their stories trace different periods in the song festival’s history and reflect on the impact of its music and the role those early encounters played in their lives.

Luukamber covers choir activities, including concerts, competitions, festivals and albums. It also explores trends and challenges in choral music and changes in the field. The anniversary programme airs on October 24 at 10:00.
