Man resists police during protest outside US embassy in Vilnius

A man who staged a protest outside the US Embassy in Vilnius on Tuesday afternoon allegedly failed to keep a safe distance and resisted a police officer, LRT reported, citing the Police Department.

After the officer ordered him to step back, the man resisted through active actions. The officer, born in 1970, did not seek medical attention after experiencing physical pain.

The man, born in 1972, was questioned. Administrative offence proceedings have been opened over the alleged humiliation of a statutory civil servant’s honour and dignity.
