Telia to cut about 100 jobs in Estonia
Telia plans to cut about 100 jobs in Estonia and around 900 across the group as it seeks to reduce costs and remain competitive, ERR reported.
The company said it expects to make the necessary decisions by the end of 2026 and has begun consultations with the unemployment fund. Telia is making greater use of artificial intelligence, digitalisation and automation.
Telia Estonia chief executive Andre Visse said the changes are intended to create a more efficient organisation that can adapt to customers’ changing needs and technological developments.
Visse said customers increasingly expect personalised digital solutions, while rising costs could limit the company’s ability to invest and grow. He added that the changes should also help ease growing pressure on service prices.
