Inese Nipere takes Bartaševičs’s seat on Rēzekne council

Inese Nipere has begun serving on Rēzekne City Council in place of Aleksandrs Bartaševičs, who became a member of parliament, LSM reported.

The change was confirmed at the council’s first meeting on Friday since the 15th Saeima’s mandates were approved. Nipere was the next most popular candidate on the “Together for Latvia” and LPV list after Bartaševičs in the 2025 local elections.

Nipere heads the Social Services Department of the city’s Social Service. The 15th Saeima approved the mandates of all 100 members of parliament at its first meeting on Tuesday.
