ERR reports that Loomingu Raamatukogu’s golden series will focus on Estonian literature in 2027, featuring six books that alternate between poetry and prose.

The series’ January launch will mark the 70th anniversary of Loomingu Raamatukogu. By then, 1,713 books will have been published under its logo.

The first two books, published in January, are Paul-Eerik Rummo’s “Lumevalgus… lumepimedus” and Enn Vetemaa’s “Lumesõda”. Sirje Olesk wrote the foreword for the new edition.

In March, the series will publish Elin Toona’s “Ella”, a documentary account of the writer’s grandmother, Ella Enno. May will bring Aino Pervik’s poetry collection “Umimetsades”, with a foreword by Johanna Ross. First published in 1977, it was Pervik’s first book for adults.

Andrus Kasemaa’s prose work “Vanapoiss” will appear in July. In September, the series will publish “Armastuskirjad”, a poetry collection by Jüri Üdi. It was the last collection Juhan Viiding published under that name. Liisi Rünkla wrote the foreword.

The series will conclude in November with Käbi Laretei’s autobiographical novel “Mineviku heli”, which follows the life of a young Heli in Sweden during the Second World War.
