New York-based producer and DJ Umru, who has Estonian roots, will perform at Tallinn club Mod on Saturday, ERR reports. He has worked with Charli XCX, Tommy Cash, Caroline Polachek and other artists.

Umru, whose legal name is Umru Rothenberg, began producing music as a teenager and shared his early work on SoundCloud. It caught the attention of A. G. Cook, founder of the record label PC Music, who invited him to work on Charli XCX’s 2017 song “I Got It” when Umru was 18.

The collaboration launched Umru’s international career and led to projects with experimental pop artists including Laura Les of 100 Gecs, Dorian Electra, Empress Of, Caroline Polachek and Tommy Cash.

His music, which first gained attention in the hyperpop scene, has increasingly moved towards club music. Last year, he released the EP “Matter of Time” on Scottish label Lucky Me, featuring producers Jacques Greene and Nikki Nair. He also released the single “Poplife” with US musician Underscores.

DJs Vaatab Jooksvalt and White Gloss will also perform at Mod.
