Kiili and Kohv to discuss Ukraine’s battlefield gains and US tensions

Retired Major General Meelis Kiili and Marek Kohv, a researcher at the International Centre for Defence and Security, will discuss the war in Ukraine and strained US-Ukraine relations on ERR’s “Ukraine Studio” on Sunday.

Ukrainian forces have retaken more than 100 square kilometres in the Lyman direction in Donetsk region, while Russian forces are suffering increasingly heavy losses, ERR reports. At the same time, disruptions to Starshield satellite communications have hampered air-raid alerts and precision strikes on enemy targets in Ukraine.

Kiili will analyse the situation at the front. Kohv will discuss the broader security picture as the presidents of the United States and Ukraine exchange increasingly sharp comments, and consider the implications for Kyiv’s allies.
