Ülle Madise poses for official presidential portrait

Incoming president Ülle Madise had her official portrait taken last Tuesday, ERR reported. Photographer Toomas Volkmann said his palms were sweaty before the photo session.

ERR’s Pealtnägija programme visited the session to examine the tradition of official portraits of heads of state and how they are made.

The portrait chosen for publication remains a secret and is expected to be revealed no earlier than October 12, when Madise takes office.
