Tuesday stays mostly dry before rain spreads across Estonia

Tuesday will bring mostly clear and changeable skies, with limited rainfall and temperatures rising above 15 degrees in many places as fog clears, ERR reported, citing Aktuaalne kaamera.

A low-pressure system over northern Europe will move northeast, while a ridge of high pressure extending from Scandinavia will reach the Baltic Sea. The chance of rain will decrease overnight and winds will weaken, but fog will form in several places. Temperatures may fall to as low as 5 degrees.

Tuesday forecast

The night will be partly cloudy, with light rain in isolated places and fog in many areas. Winds will mainly be from the north at 1 to 7 metres per second, reaching 4 to 10 metres per second on the coast and gusting to 13 metres per second on the islands. Temperatures will range from 5 to 10 degrees, reaching 13 degrees on the coast.

Tuesday morning will bring partly cloudy skies and isolated light rain. Fog will persist in many areas. Northerly winds will reach 2 to 7 metres per second, up to 10 metres per second on the coast, while temperatures will range from 6 to 14 degrees.

During the day, light rain will fall in isolated places. Northerly and northeasterly winds will reach 3 to 9 metres per second, with gusts of up to 13 metres per second in the afternoon. Temperatures will reach 14 to 17 degrees.

A new cyclone will arrive over Belarus from the Black Sea and head towards the Baltic states. Clouds will increase from the southeast in the evening, and a rain area will spread westward across Estonia overnight into Wednesday, starting in eastern Estonia.

Rain to continue later in the week

Rain is also expected on Thursday, initially in eastern Estonia and later elsewhere on the mainland. Winds will remain relatively strong, while daytime temperatures may reach 18 degrees in some places.

Rain will continue on Friday and Saturday, with daytime temperatures staying between 10 and 15 degrees.
