Estonian ministers face questions on budget, security and police staffing

Prime Minister Kristen Michal, Interior Minister Igor Taro and Minister of Regional Affairs and Agriculture Hendrik Johannes Terras will answer questions from members of the Riigikogu, Estonia’s parliament, at its Monday session, ERR reported.

Michal will respond to questions about funding for the agricultural sector, security risks linked to the business activities of Russian citizens, the growing state budget deficit and the sustainability of public finances.

Taro will answer a question about the deepening staffing crisis in the police.

Terras will address questions about the growing share of foreign labour in the taxi and ride-hailing sector, newspaper home-delivery prices and the state’s support policy, as well as rising ticket prices for flights to Saaremaa.

A free-microphone session will follow if members of parliament request the opportunity to speak.
