LTV asks why some Latvians skip elections
Latvian Television’s News Service has launched a project examining why some people do not participate in elections, LSM reported.
The project features discussions with voters who supported different parties, as well as people who are still undecided and those who say they will not vote at all, ahead of Latvia’s 15th Saeima elections.
Participants discuss which party they supported four years ago, whether they now believe that choice was the right one, whether the party fulfilled its promises and what they plan to do in the upcoming election.
The project also considers whether campaign posters and promises can influence voters shortly before an election, or whether voters assess parties and their leaders over a longer period and pay little attention to campaigns.
