Prime Minister Mindaugas Sinkevičius has apologised to Social Democratic MP Laura Asadauskaitė-Zadneprovskienė for remarks he made about her possible departure from the party, LRT reported.
Sinkevičius said on Facebook that he had been asked in the Seimas on Thursday about Asadauskaitė-Zadneprovskienė’s consideration of splitting from the party.
“In response, I chose inappropriate words. I did not want to offend anyone. I have already apologised to Laura personally, and I want to do so publicly once again,” he wrote.
“Whatever Laura’s decision about her political future, I hope there will be no hard feelings,” the prime minister added.
