Rain to hit much of Lithuania as temperatures reach 20 degrees

Rain is forecast in many parts of Lithuania on Thursday, with temperatures ranging from 15 to 20 degrees Celsius, LRT reported, citing Janas Voitkevičius, a forecaster at the Lithuanian Hydrometeorological Service.

Brief showers are expected in many areas, with thunderstorms possible in some places. Winds will strengthen from the west and southwest before turning northwest, reaching 9 to 14 metres per second. Gusts in western districts may reach 15 to 20 metres per second.

Friday will bring similar conditions, with brief showers in some areas. Winds will reach 8 to 13 metres per second, while gusts along the coast will reach 15 to 20 metres per second at night. Temperatures will fall to 7 to 12 degrees overnight, or 13 to 15 degrees on the coast, before rising to 17 to 21 degrees during the day.

The weekend is expected to bring slightly more sunshine, although temperatures will remain moderate. Brief showers are possible in some areas, with moderate winds. Temperatures will reach 17 to 22 degrees during the day and fall to 6 to 11 degrees at night.
