Clouds to dominate Lithuania as rain stays scarce
Cloudy skies will prevail across Lithuania on Sunday, with little or no rain expected, LRT reported, citing Tadas Kantautas, a forecaster with the Lithuanian Hydrometeorological Service.
Sunday morning was cloudy across almost the entire country, with brief breaks in the clouds in some places. A light north-northeasterly wind was blowing, and temperatures were around 5 to 7 degrees Celsius.
Daytime temperatures are expected to reach 6 to 11 degrees. The warmest readings, 10 to 11 degrees, are forecast where the sun briefly appears; most of the country will see 6 to 9 degrees. Only a few drops of drizzle are possible.
Similar conditions are expected on Monday. The night should bring no significant rain, with temperatures of 2 to 7 degrees. Light rain is possible during the day, most likely on the coast and in western Žemaitija. Temperatures are forecast to reach 6 to 11 degrees.
A weakening atmospheric front will move across the country on Tuesday night, bringing light rain or drizzle in places. Temperatures will remain above freezing, at 1 to 6 degrees. Tuesday will be cloudy, with possible sunny spells in the afternoon and scattered light rain or drizzle. A stronger northwesterly wind is expected, and temperatures will again reach 6 to 11 degrees.
