Brainstorm returns to Fotografiska for full concert

Latvian band Brainstorm performed a full-length concert at Fotografiska on Friday, ERR reported. The band had previously made a brief surprise appearance at the photography venue in January during the opening of an exhibition by photographer Anton Corbijn.

The concert was part of Fotografiska’s weekly night event, which followed the rhythm of Tallinn Culture Night and kept the exhibitions open until midnight. DJ Tõnu Kõrvits played before and after the concert, while visitors could also create music in the exhibition halls alongside the usual exhibitions.

Founded in 1989, Brainstorm is one of Latvia’s most internationally successful bands. It placed third at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2000 with the song “My Star” and has also achieved success on international charts.

Corbijn has played an important role in Brainstorm’s visual identity, and the band has collaborated with him several times. A portrait of Brainstorm by Corbijn was among the photographs shown when his major exhibition opened at Fotografiska in January and was also displayed at the venue’s summer anniversary exhibition.
