Body of a man recovered from a pond in Prienai district

A man’s body was pulled from a pond in Lithuania’s Prienai district late Monday, emergency responders reported.

Fire and rescue teams retrieved the body around 11:33 p.m. local time after receiving reports of a drowning in a pond near Užuguosčio Street in Noreikiškiai village, Stakliškės eldership, according to the Fire Protection and Rescue Department.

The victim, a male, was found floating 1.5 meters from the shore.
