Hundreds of mourners, including fellow medics and emergency workers, gathered on Saturday to bid farewell to 31-year-old paramedic Mantas Sadauskas, who was brutally killed earlier this week, reports LRT.lt and ELTA. His funeral took place in the Panevėžys funeral home “Ramybės takas” before burial in Raguvėlė cemetery, Anykščiai district.

Sadauskas, a father of two young children and an avid motorcyclist, was remembered by colleagues and relatives as a dedicated professional and a kind-hearted man. “Mantas was a very good person, gentle, and a wonderful grandson. I don’t know what else to say,” his grandmother said through tears during the service.

A female relative, speaking to reporters, condemned the killing as premeditated and accused the suspect—his estranged wife, Justina Sadauskienė—of long-standing vindictiveness. “This wasn’t spontaneous. Where is our law enforcement looking? She was vengeful toward everyone. We won’t let this go,” she said, addressing Sadauskienė directly: “Rot in hell, and in prison first.”

Sadauskas’ body was discovered Tuesday buried on a property in Panevėžys district, wrapped in a trampoline. Authorities suspect his death stemmed from a personal dispute. Three individuals, including Sadauskienė, have been detained in connection with the case. A court has ordered Sadauskienė held for two months on charges of murder and unlawful detention.

Colleagues from Panevėžys’ Emergency Medical Services (GMP) attended the service, though his supervisor, Rūta Ramoškienė, declined to comment. Sadauskas had reportedly left Monday morning to deliver a trampoline for a children’s party—a job linked to his family’s rental business—but never returned. Investigators later found the customer’s details deleted and no record of the alleged daycare center.
