Teenager hospitalised after suspected arson in Vilnius district
A 17-year-old boy has been hospitalised with smoke inhalation after a suspected arson attack in a residential house in Vilnius district, Lithuanian public broadcaster LRT reports.
The fire broke out around 12:30 PM on Thursday in a home in Bratoniškės village, according to the Lithuanian Police Department. The blaze caused significant damage to the interior of the house.
The teenager, born in 2008, was taken to hospital due to smoke poisoning. Authorities suspect the fire was deliberately set, and a pre-trial investigation has been launched for property damage by dangerous means.
The extent of the fire damage is still being assessed.
