Much of Lithuania will be sunny on Friday, with temperatures reaching 10C and fairly strong northwesterly to northerly winds, LRT reports, citing forecaster Ineta Daunoravičiūtė of the Lithuanian Hydrometeorological Service.

Clouds are expected to break up, with winds reaching 7 to 12 metres per second. Temperatures will range from 5C to 10C, with the coolest conditions in eastern districts and the warmest along the country’s western edge.

Denser clouds will move in overnight into Saturday, but no rain is expected. Westerly winds will ease. Most areas will see temperatures fall to between 0C and 3C below zero, while the western edge, including the coast, will remain at 1C to 6C above zero.

Saturday will be dry as high pressure brings clearing skies and some sunny spells. Moderate westerly winds are expected, with temperatures of 5C to 10C. Sunday is also forecast to stay dry, with moderate westerly winds, overnight temperatures of 0C to 5C and daytime highs of 5C to 10C.

Monday is expected to remain dry, with similar temperatures. From Tuesday, clouds associated with a cyclone are forecast to approach from the west, bringing a greater chance of heavier rain to some areas, especially the coast and western districts. Night temperatures will be slightly below zero, around 0C, while daytime highs will reach 3C to 8C.
