Prosecutors have charged 24-year-old Egyptian citizen Mohamed Khaled Mahmoud Ghanim with illegally bringing five people into Estonia, ERR reported.

The charge alleges that in August he brought five Bangladeshi and Algerian citizens from Latvia into Estonia, although they had no legal basis to stay in the country. Ghanim admitted receiving payment for bringing them to Estonia.

A hearing in the plea agreement proceedings was postponed until 16 November.
