Finance Minister Taurimas Valys says he is feeling better after several days in hospital and hopes his health will not worsen, LRT reported.
Valys said on Wednesday that he had experienced problems with his heart. He said hospital tests had been completed and he trusted the doctors, adding that his stay had given him time to rest and calm down.
Doctors advised him to avoid stress and nervous tension, though Valys said that could be difficult given the nature of his work.
Valys felt unwell at work last Monday and went to his family doctor, who referred him to a cardiologist. After his condition worsened, he went to the emergency department at Santaros Clinics, a university hospital in Vilnius. He was still receiving treatment on Tuesday and was discharged on Wednesday.
He has been granted sick leave through Friday. Transport Minister Juras Taminskas covered his duties during that period.
