International logistics and technology group Omniva reported a net profit of €4.3 million in the third quarter, compared with €1.7 million a year earlier, ERR reported. Revenue fell 3% to €37.7 million, with the company citing a significant drop in parcel volumes from non-EU countries following changes to EU customs rules. International transit parcel volumes rose 31%.

The quarterly profit included €3.3 million in compensation for the unreasonable costs of providing the universal postal service in 2023–2025, as well as €0.6 million in privatisation-related costs. Excluding these one-off effects, net profit was €1.7 million, unchanged from the same period last year.

For the first nine months, revenue rose 5% year on year to €115.8 million. Net profit was €2.6 million, compared with €5.2 million a year earlier. The previous year’s result included one-off effects from the sale of a property on Pallasti Street. Excluding one-off effects, Omniva’s net profit for the first nine months was €0.3 million, up from €0.04 million a year earlier.

Parcel volumes in the Baltic states fell 12% in the third quarter to 8.2 million, while revenue there declined 10% to €18.3 million. International transit parcel volumes increased 31% to 4.5 million, and revenue remained at €8 million. Across all markets, Omniva handled 12.7 million parcels during the quarter, down 1% year on year. In the first nine months, total parcel volumes rose 11% to 39.6 million.
