Clouds to dominate Lithuania as temperatures reach 11C
Most of Lithuania will be cloudy on Monday, with temperatures reaching 6 to 9 degrees Celsius in many areas and up to 11 degrees in the west, LRT reported.
Lithuanian Hydrometeorological Service forecaster Paulius Starkus told LRT Radio that high pressure would shape Monday’s weather. Brief sunny spells are possible in the west, while a weak weather front approaching from the west may bring light rain there. Winds will be very weak and variable.
Little change is expected on Tuesday. A weakening front will move across Lithuania, bringing a chance of light rain in the northwest. Cloudy skies will persist, and fog may reduce visibility in some places. Overnight temperatures will mostly range from 0 to 4 degrees, with 5 to 7 degrees on the coast and possible lows of around minus 1 degree in some locations. Daytime temperatures will reach 6 to 11 degrees. Low clouds are expected, with little chance of clear spells, but no heavy rain. Northwesterly winds will strengthen.
High pressure will remain in control on Wednesday, though sunshine will be limited. Skies will stay mostly cloudy, with somewhat more breaks as northerly winds continue. Nighttime temperatures will mostly be 0 to 3 degrees, but some places could fall to minus 1 or minus 2. Daytime highs will range from 5 to 10 degrees.
