First-time Eesti Laul contestant and producer J-Run said fellow artist M Els helped bring their entry, “Hush Hush,” to life after it came together at the last minute, ERR reported.
M Els, a finalist in the Estonian song contest, joined forces with Dutch producer J-Run after the pair met in a studio. “Gevin [Niglas] wrote to me and invited me to the studio. J-Run was there, and now we have ‘Hush Hush,’” M Els said.
J-Run said he and Gevin Niglas had wanted to write a song together for some time, but it eventually became a last-minute mission. They invited Merili to the studio, and “the song came to life,” he said.
M Els did not reveal what the song is about, but said its style was unlike anything she had done before. Asked what she hoped for in the contest, she said: “It could make it to Eurovision this time.”
