Forecaster expects temperatures of up to 16C on Wednesday

Temperatures in Lithuania are expected to reach 16 degrees Celsius on Wednesday, with dry, autumnally warm weather continuing through the week, forecaster Janas Vaitkevič of the Lithuanian Hydrometeorological Service told LRT Radio.

Southwestern Lithuania will be cloudy, with some breaks in the clouds. No rain is forecast. Southeasterly winds will reach 9 to 14 metres per second, increasing to 15 to 17 metres per second on the coast. Temperatures will range from 11 to 16 degrees.

Thursday will also be dry, with winds of 9 to 14 metres per second. Overnight temperatures will be 6 to 11 degrees, rising to 12 to 17 degrees during the day.

Rain is expected on Friday, locally overnight and in many parts of the country during the day, though it will generally be light. Temperatures will range from 6 to 11 degrees overnight and 10 to 15 degrees during the day.

Rain will fall in many places on Saturday night and locally during the day. Temperatures are forecast at 5 to 10 degrees overnight and 11 to 16 degrees during the day.
