Arson attempt targets Lithuanian company storing Starlink equipment

Lithuanian Prime Minister Mindaugas Sinkevičius said an attempt was made shortly after midnight on Sunday to set fire to a company storing Starlink communications equipment, LRT reported.

Authorities had warned the company of possible attacks and increased its security, but the attempted arson failed, Sinkevičius said in a Facebook post. He added that Lithuanian agencies were closely monitoring the activities of hostile states and taking steps to protect people and property.

Defence Minister Robertas Kaunas confirmed the incident but said he could not provide further details. The incident had been contained and was under investigation, he told reporters.
