Quiz explores how quickly Tammsaare’s Truth and Justice won Estonian hearts

ERR reports that the educational centre of the National Library of Estonia has created a quiz marking the 100th anniversary of the first publication of Anton Hansen Tammsaare’s “Truth and Justice”.

The quiz tests knowledge of the novel and its reception in different periods. It asks how quickly the work won the hearts of Estonians, how it was treated in the Republic of Estonia and during the Soviet period, and whether the Estonian foundational text could also speak to other peoples.
