ETV culture show OP adds second host for new season

Estonian public broadcaster ETV’s cultural programme OP will have two hosts when its new season begins on September 10, ERR reported. Owe Petersell will be joined by Erle Loonurm.

“Owe is an excellent host, and I feel confident appearing before viewers alongside him,” Loonurm said.

She said the programme would remain focused on offering viewers a broad look at cultural life each Thursday. “Two hosts will add dynamism and even more content, allowing us to bring what is happening in our cultural landscape to viewers in the best possible way from different angles,” she said.

The programme’s core format will remain unchanged, with studio meetings and reports from different parts of Estonia. Loonurm said the team also wanted to add recommendations to inspire viewers to take a more active part in cultural life.

Ave-Marleen Rei, the programme’s responsible editor, and Ave Lutter will continue as reporters.

ETV will launch its autumn cultural season with a special programme, Six Views on Design, on September 3. Johannes Tralla will explore the meaning and nature of design with Estonians whose artistic work has crossed the country’s borders.
