Agency warns of scam texts about e-address messages

Scam text messages claiming that a new message has been received in Latvia’s e-address system are circulating, LSM reported, citing the State Digital Development Agency.

The agency said it does not send SMS notifications about new messages in the e-address system. Recipients should not open links included in such messages.

Instead, they should log in to the Latvija.gov.lv portal and check whether a new message has actually arrived in their e-address.

Notifications about new e-address messages are sent by email from [email protected], the agency said.
