Estonia, forecast, weather

Estonia is expected to have a mostly dry and sunny Father’s Day on Sunday, with temperatures reaching 6 to 10C, ERR reports.

Cloud cover is forecast to thin during the day, with no significant precipitation. Westerly winds will blow at 2 to 8 metres per second, with gusts of up to 12 metres per second on the northern coast.

Overnight temperatures will range from 0 to 8C. The west will have variable cloud, while the east will see breaks in the clouds. Fog may form in places. Winds will come from the west and northwest at 2 to 10 metres per second, with gusts of up to 13 metres per second.

Monday is also expected to be mostly dry, though isolated light showers are possible. Temperatures will range from 0 to 8C overnight and 5 to 9C during the day. Light rain is possible on Tuesday, with temperatures a few degrees lower. The chance of precipitation will increase on Wednesday and Thursday, when overnight temperatures are expected to fall below zero and sleet is also possible.

A high-pressure system moving towards the Black Sea will weaken on Sunday, but its edge is expected to keep Estonia largely dry. A new active cyclone approaching Norway’s northwest coast will bring rain and sleet to central and northern Norway and, in places, northern Finland.
