Dry weather will bring strong winds before colder nights in Lithuania

Lithuania will have dry but windy weather on Thursday, with temperatures reaching 12C in some areas before cooler nights arrive, LRT reported, citing forecaster Tadas Kantautas of the Lithuanian Hydrometeorological Service.

Thursday’s temperatures will range from 7C to 12C. The warmest conditions are expected in western Lithuania and the coolest in the southeast. Skies will be cloudy with sunny spells, with clearer weather in Samogitia and along the coast. No rain is expected. Westerly to northwesterly winds will reach 8 to 13 metres per second.

Cloud cover will decrease overnight into Friday, with no significant rain, but the wind will remain strong. Temperatures will fall to between 0C and 5C, while the coast will stay warmer at 6C to 8C. On Friday, skies will clear and no rain is forecast. Strong northwesterly to northerly winds will continue, with daytime temperatures of 5C to 10C.

Clouds will increase on Saturday. Overnight temperatures will range from 0C to 3C below zero, followed by daytime highs of 5C to 10C. Sunday will be cloudy but dry, and the wind will ease. Temperatures will be 0C to 5C overnight, or 6C to 8C on the coast, and 5C to 10C during the day.
