Tallinn to name airport-bound road Kraana Street

Tallinn City Government is set to name an unnamed road in the Lasnamäe district Kraana Street. The decision was reported by ERR.
The road starts at Suur-Sõjamäe Street and runs towards the airport. It will provide access to buildings planned under a detailed plan for the properties at Suur-Sõjamäe 48 and 50 and nearby land.
The road also leads to several cadastral units whose current addresses are based on Suur-Sõjamäe Street and use numerous letter suffixes. The new street name is intended to help organise those addresses and make properties easier to find.
Tallinn’s naming commission discussed the proposal on September 16 and said defining the road and naming it was justified. The Lasnamäe district government approved the commission’s proposal on September 23. The city government is due to decide on it Tuesday.
