Lucy Worsley’s book “Queens and Kings: An Unusually Personal History” has been published in Estonian by Tänapäev, ERR reported. Andrus Igalaan translated it from English.
The book traces some of the most turbulent, unusual and fascinating moments in the English royal court, from Henry VIII to the present day. It offers a look inside rulers’ bedrooms, kitchens and wardrobes, and even their chamber pots. It also describes the running of royal residences, the occupants’ quirks and what took place there.
Worsley, born in 1973, is a British historian and the author of numerous television and radio programmes. Previous books by her published in Estonian include “Queen Victoria”, “Jane Austen at Home”, “Agatha Christie” and “Courtiers: The Secret History of Kensington Palace”.
