Cloudy, mostly calm weather is forecast across Lithuania for the long weekend, and winter conditions are not expected yet, LRT reported, citing forecaster Ineta Daunoravičiūtė of the Lithuanian Hydrometeorological Service.

On Saturday, a departing low-pressure system will bring overcast skies. Brief clear spells are possible near the coast and in western parts of the country, while light rain or drizzle may fall in some places, most likely in the east and south. Moderate northerly and north-easterly winds are forecast, with temperatures of 7 to 12 degrees Celsius.

Clouds will persist overnight into Sunday, though western regions may see some breaks. Temperatures will fall to 2 to 7 degrees. On All Saints’ Day, Sunday, skies will remain cloudy, but the denser cloud cover is not expected to bring rain. The day should be calm and dry, with light winds and temperatures of 5 to 10 degrees.

Little change is expected on Monday, November 2. The night will be mostly dry, with temperatures of 1 to 6 degrees, while light rain or drizzle may fall during the day. Temperatures are forecast to reach 6 to 11 degrees.

Daunoravičiūtė said a strengthening high-pressure system should bring brighter skies from Tuesday, as low clouds begin to clear. Sunshine may appear by the middle of next week.
