Rain showers are expected in many parts of Estonia on Friday as a low-pressure trough crosses the country, ERR reports.
A small secondary low-pressure system will move across Finland towards the area near Lake Ladoga. Its trough will bring rain to Estonia. Overnight, skies will be cloudy with some clear spells, and rain is expected in many places. There may also be fog. Temperatures will range from 3 to 8 degrees Celsius, reaching 11 degrees on the coast.
Friday morning will be cloudy, with showers. Winds from the west will reach 3 to 8 metres per second, with gusts of up to 12 metres per second on the coast. Temperatures will be 5 to 10 degrees. During the day, skies will have clear spells and rain will fall in many places. Temperatures will reach 8 to 11 degrees, while northwesterly winds on the islands may gust to 14 metres per second.
Heavier rain clouds will move away early in the following night, with showers becoming less frequent during the day. Fog is expected in many places overnight and through the morning, with light northerly winds. Temperatures will be 0 to 9 degrees overnight and 6 to 10 degrees during the day.
Sunday is expected to be mostly dry but cloudy, with fog again in many places overnight and in the morning. Winds will generally be light, strengthening in the evening. Overnight temperatures could dip slightly below freezing on Sunday and early next week, ranging from minus 1 to plus 9 degrees. Daytime temperatures will be 6 to 10 degrees. Heavier rain clouds are forecast to arrive on Monday, and Tuesday is expected to be rainy, with sleet possibly mixing with the rain by evening.
