Riga councillor Pliners to resign on health grounds; Jeremejevs to replace him

Riga City Council member Jakovs Pliners will give up his mandate on November 25 for health reasons, he confirmed to the LETA news agency, LSM reported.

Valentīns Jeremejevs will take his place on the council, said Svetlana Čulkova, chair of the Stability! party’s board. Jeremejevs chairs the board of the People’s Power party.

Čulkova said Jeremejevs would join the Stability! faction and continue working on the council, representing Riga residents.
