Drunk police officer and man assault each other in Jonava

A drunk Kaunas County Police Headquarters officer and a drunk man assaulted each other in Jonava, LRT reported, citing police.

The incident took place at about 2:05 a.m. on Sunday on the terrace of a residential building on Alksnių Street. The man, born in 1977, had a blood alcohol level of 2.44 per mille; the officer, born in 1984, had a level of 1.55 per mille.

The woman received medical assistance and is being treated as an outpatient. The man did not seek medical care. A pre-trial investigation has been opened under Article 140, Part 2 of the Lithuanian Criminal Code.
