Adamkus continues treatment at Vilnius hospital

Former Lithuanian President Valdas Adamkus is continuing treatment and medical care at Santaros Clinics, a hospital run by Vilnius University, LRT reports.

The hospital said the care was continuing in light of Adamkus’s overall health. No further information about his condition has been released.

Adamkus was admitted to the hospital on September 26 after a sudden health problem, the president’s office said several weeks ago. After examinations and an assessment of his condition, he underwent surgery, which was reported to have gone smoothly.
