Progressive rock band Pantokraator marked its 45th anniversary with a concert at Alexela Concert Hall on Oct. 21, ERR reported. The performance was captured in a gallery of 197 photographs.
The concert’s first part featured songs from the band’s new album, “William Shakespeare’s Sonnets,” which sets poetry more than 400 years old to music. The second part traced Pantokraator’s work over the years, including “Metsavaht,” “Tule tagasi helmemänd,” “Sõjalaul” and “Õhtu Valgas,” as well as songs from its previous album, “Déjà vu.”
Former members Lauri Saatpalu, Jaan Sööt, Kaie Mikheim, Mait Karm and Aivar Otsing joined the current lineup on stage. The band currently consists of singer Taavi Peterson, guitarist Elmar Liitmaa, bassist Henno Kelp, drummer Roland Puusepp and keyboardist Erik Sakkov.
Pantokraator is due to give another anniversary concert on the evening of Oct. 22 at Vanemuine Concert Hall in Tartu.
