Estonia’s industrial producer price index rose for the ninth consecutive month in annual terms, reaching 4.2% above September 2025, ERR reported. The index, which tracks price changes for industrial goods made in Estonia for domestic and export markets, increased 1.4% from August.

Compared with September 2025, higher prices for fuel oils, wood processing, and metal and wood products had the biggest upward effect on the index, Statistics Estonia service manager Eveli Šokman said. Lower prices for machinery and equipment repair, electricity, and food production had the opposite effect.

Across manufacturing activities, the index rose 4.8% year on year. Food production prices fell 1.4%.

Compared with August, higher prices for electricity supply and fuel oil production had the biggest effect on the September index. Falling prices for food, metal products and plastic products also affected it.

The export price index rose 0.7% month on month and 5.3% year on year. Electricity, petroleum products, pharmaceuticals and medicinal products recorded the biggest monthly increases, while rubber and plastic products, electronics, paper and paper products fell the most.

The import price index increased 1.6% from August and 8.8% from September 2025. Electricity, petroleum products and agricultural products had the largest monthly price rises. Construction materials, chemicals and chemical products, and industrial machinery and equipment saw the biggest declines.
