Artists Getriin Kotsar and Maria Helena Seppik have opened a three-day performance installation at EKA Gallery, exploring how to create a refuge in the absence of security, stability and opportunity, ERR reports.

The project, titled “Home.house.hardcore.”, asks how to make a space that feels like home at its best: somewhere safe and warm, even if only for a few days.

The artists’ interest in fragility, an unstable world and crumbling materiality runs through the work. The performance and installation invite visitors to consider how to preserve hope and a sense of security in difficult circumstances.

The performance began on Friday evening and ran for 12 hours, ending at 7 a.m. on Saturday, October 17. The installation is open at EKA Gallery on Saturday and Sunday. Kaur Tõra created the sound design, and Simon Janson the graphic design.
