Technical problems delay baggage drop-off at Riga Airport

Technical problems slowed checked-baggage drop-off at RIX Riga Airport on Saturday morning, causing queues, LSM reported. The airport said all passengers scheduled to fly that morning made their flights, while crews waited for the baggage for their flights to be loaded.

According to Flightradar24, 28 departures, or 15% of flights, left late. Delays varied, reaching 30 minutes in some cases.

Airport spokeswoman Ilze Salna apologised for the inconvenience and advised passengers flying later on Saturday to arrive earlier to allow extra time to check in baggage.
