Two detained after man’s body found in Vilnius apartment

A man’s body was found in an apartment on Žirmūnų Street in Vilnius, and a man and a woman have been detained on suspicion of murder, LRT reported.

Police said the body of a man born in 1975 was found at 3:07 p.m. on Friday, October 16. The detained man was born in 1987. The woman, born in 1981, was found to have 0.78 per mille of alcohol in her blood.

A pre-trial investigation has been opened on suspicion of murder under Article 129, Part 1 of Lithuania’s Criminal Code.
