Fog will gradually clear across Lithuania on Saturday, with Sunday expected to be mostly clear apart from a little rain in the south, LRT reported.

Most of the country was still foggy on Saturday morning, with the thickest fog in the east and central Lithuania. Western areas were brighter, although cloudy. LRT Radio meteorologist Paulius Starkus said the fog would linger for several hours, with more noticeable clearing from around 9 a.m. After midday, variable cloud was expected as the fog cleared and visibility improved nationwide.

The chance of rain on Saturday is low, and winds will be barely noticeable. Temperatures will stay low while the fog persists, then rise to 10–13°C in many places and 14–15°C in some areas during the afternoon.

A cold atmospheric front is expected to move across the country overnight, bringing more cloud and stronger northerly winds. Fog should be less widespread, though it may linger in some places. A little rain is possible in the north, especially in the morning. Overnight temperatures will be 2–7°C.

On Sunday, sunny spells are expected to increase in the north, with clear skies in much of the country during the afternoon. The south may see a little light rain. Northerly to northeasterly winds will strengthen, and temperatures are forecast to reach 9–14°C.
