Lithuania to see dry weekend, with frost possible overnight

Lithuania is forecast to have a mostly dry and calm weekend, with daytime temperatures of 11 to 16 degrees Celsius and frost possible at ground level in many areas, LRT reported, citing forecaster Simona Dalinkevičiūtė of the Lithuanian Hydrometeorological Service.

Friday will bring variable cloud cover and little chance of rain. Moderate south-westerly and southerly winds are expected, with temperatures reaching 11 to 16 degrees.

Cloud cover will increase overnight into Saturday, but significant rain is not expected. Dense fog may form in places as winds ease, and morning driving conditions could be affected. Overnight temperatures will range from 1 to 6 degrees, with milder conditions on the coast. Ground-level temperatures could fall to 5 degrees below zero in many areas.

Saturday will be mostly dry, with light winds and temperatures of 11 to 16 degrees.

Light rain is possible in some places overnight into Sunday, with the greatest chance in western districts. Significant rain is not expected during the day. Temperatures will range from 3 to 8 degrees overnight, reaching about 10 degrees on the Curonian Spit, and rise to 11 to 16 degrees during the day.
