Coach Karmo Kivi says coaching can help people recognise their blind spots and reach their goals faster. He spoke to ERR’s Ringvaade programme about the subject and appears in Kaupo Kruusiauk’s new documentary, “Coaching for an Ordinary Person”.

Pille Lõugas, who also features in the film, has used a coach and said she found the experience helpful. She said things do not happen by magic, but people begin to notice opportunities more readily.

Kivi first turned to a coach in 2016, after four years in business without achieving the results he wanted. He worked with Bob Proctor, known for the film “The Secret”, from 2016 until Proctor’s death in 2022.

Lõugas said that paying for coaching also made her feel accountable to herself. In the film, she said she wanted financial freedom and hoped to earn 20,000 euros. Her personal income has not reached that level, but she has established a company and gained freedom. She said her goal was not money itself, but living the life she wanted.

Kivi described a coach as an accelerator who can help people achieve results faster and avoid costly mistakes when starting a business. He said demand for coaches was enormous. Lõugas said she still returns to the tools she learned and might seek a coach’s help again to reach another level.
