Police seize more than 112 kg of drugs in Raseiniai district

Police seized more than 112 kilograms of drugs and arrested a suspect in Raseiniai district in early October, LRT reported, citing law enforcement. The suspect is a resident of Kaunas district.
On October 5, officers from the organised crime investigation unit of the Marijampolė County Police Headquarters searched a car used by the suspect, his home and other locations. They found and seized about 97 kilograms of cannabis, 10 kilograms of cocaine and five kilograms of hashish.
The man has been charged with illegally possessing narcotic or psychotropic substances with intent to distribute, or with illegally possessing a very large quantity. He has been remanded in custody.
The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by the organised crime investigation unit of the Marijampolė County Police Headquarters.
