Man suspected of assaulting young child in Šiauliai

A man is suspected of assaulting a young child at a home in Šiauliai, LRT reported, citing police.
Police said they received a report on October 5 from the State Child Rights Protection and Adoption Service. It said the alleged assault took place on September 24 on Gegužių Street and involved a girl born in 2021. The man was born in 1990.
Police have opened a pre-trial investigation into causing physical pain or a minor health impairment.
