Russian journalist Leonid Ragozin says Latvia has added him to its list of undesirable persons, but the Foreign Ministry has not confirmed the report, LSM reported.

Latvia added another Russian citizen to the list on October 7. Ragozin wrote on X that the decision was shocking and amounted to political persecution. His social media posts and interviews have also pointed to his possible inclusion, LSM said.

Foreign Minister Baiba Braže announced on October 6 that she had begun the process of adding another Russian citizen to the list. She said the step followed information from responsible authorities and discussions with the prime minister and interior minister.

The Foreign Ministry said it would not disclose the grounds for the decision because they relate to national security. Ragozin’s public statements have drawn longstanding criticism, including accusations that he justifies Russian foreign policy, discredits Ukrainian forces and blames the West for Moscow’s aggression.
